Step away from your Sneakers!

Regarding footwear, the sneaker checks all the right boxes' comfort, style, and durability, but it's nice to switch it up every once in a while! To add some diversity to your closet, I want to highlight a few options outside of sneakers that you can step out in literally.

Mules on the move

When we think of Mules, I know the first image that comes to mind is the Croc! For some, that image may be haunting, but there are other stylish options in the mule category. The benefit of wearing a Mule is that it's a comfy slip-on option when you want something casual. Because Mules have become so popular, every brand has thrown their hat in the market to create their version! Classic brands like Birkenstocks to high-fashion labels like Gucci and Celine offer every customer a pair of Mule luxury. Wear them with socks, or go sockless; the mule can be as basic or complex as you want it to be.

Live in a loafer

Quick scenario, you're stepping out on a Friday night and looking for a pair of shoes to spice up your look while keeping it casual. The solution is to go with a two-tone loafer! I hold the loafer in high regard because of how versatile it is. You can pair it with a suit, button-up, and chino or with a denim jacket and jeans! If you're having sneaker withdraws and need something similar, I say go with the two-tone loafer.

Wallabees The Unsung Hero

The undisputed champ for the casual shoe is the Clark Wallabees! As mentioned by every hip-hop artist, from Wu-Tang to Nas, the Clark's Wallabees is a staple that continues to stand the test of time. Comfort is never an issue when wearing Clarks, thanks to the rubber crepe sole, making it a great style investment when diversifying your footwear. The only con I would say about the Clark Wallabies is that you may want to keep the forecast in mind when pulling them out to avoid staining the suede material. However, Clarks do offer a Rain and Stain Spray to preserve your Clarks on wet days! So, problem solved!

These are my "Top Three Picks" for switching it up from your sneakers. Now that you have these options, I encourage you to give them a test drive at your local cafe and see if the barista is not impressed by your style footwear choice. Coffee cheers!
